What's interesting is that GLM-5.2, despite its minor version number, has crossed significant user experience thresholds. It's showing better-than-expected results in community benchmarks. On Arena's agent leaderboard, GLM-5.2 is the only open model competing with the latest models from OpenAI and Anthropic. It even matches Opus 4.8's performance in some areas. The official, MIT-licensed model weights and release blog for GLM-5.2 were released three days later, on June 16th. This development could mean new possibilities for open-source AI applications.
