Google AI: New Agentic Assistant & Gemini Advances

Google is set to release many new AI-powered tools, including an AI assistant that will proactively perform tasks for users. This "agentic" AI was a key focus at Google's annual developers conference. One of the new announcements is the upcoming AI agent, Gemini Spark. Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated, "We are firmly in our agentic Gemini era." He also highlighted that the Gemini app now has over 900 million monthly active users, more than doubling in a year. The latest version, Gemini 3.5 Flash, is rolling out now to billions of users. Google says it's their strongest agentic and coding model yet, and it's about four times faster than some competitors. This model is now the default for the Gemini app and "AI mode" on Google search. Google also introduced Gemini Omni, a new model for creating high-quality video from various inputs like text, images, and audio. Omni's videos are expected to appear more realistic due to its understanding of physics. This means new AI capabilities are becoming more integrated into everyday tools, potentially changing how we interact with technology.
