Google Gemini Spark: AI Agent Expands, But Not Cheap

Google's always-on AI agent, Gemini Spark, is now expanding its availability. Previously in limited preview, Spark is rolling out to more markets and subscribers. In the US, AI Pro subscribers can now access Gemini Spark. What's interesting is that globally, AI Ultra subscribers are also getting access, with local language support. However, this expansion does not include the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and Nigeria. The AI Ultra plan starts from $100 per month and includes higher rate limits for Gemini models and extra storage. Spark offers computer-use capabilities and integrates with the Gemini app for Mac. It can perform multi-step actions, like finding travel deals and booking trips. You can also create reusable skills, such as analyzing your email writing style and applying it to new drafts. The bottom line is that Spark offers an accessible way to explore what an always-on AI agent can do, but it requires an eligible Google AI plan.
