Google I/O: Try Gemini 3.5 Flash & New AI Tools Free

Google announced new AI tools at its I/O keynote, and some are available for free right now. The biggest news is the immediate launch of Gemini 3.5 Flash. This is now the default model for the Gemini app and Google Search. It's faster and handles complex tasks more efficiently. You can try it by simply opening the Gemini app or using Google AI Mode. Another new tool is Gemini Omni Flash, a world model that generates video. It simulates physics and uses real-world knowledge for accurate environments. Omni Flash videos can be edited using conversational dialogue. This will be available later this week for YouTube Shorts and in the YouTube Create app for all users, for free. Google also announced that Chrome and Search will use SynthID to detect AI-generated content. This invisible digital watermark helps identify if parts of an image were made with AI. Several third-party entities, including OpenAI, have adopted SynthID. These new tools offer immediate ways to experience Google's latest AI advancements without cost.
