Google OKF: Standardizing AI Agent Knowledge Sharing

Google has introduced the Open Knowledge Format, or OKF. This new open specification aims to standardize how AI agents store, share, and use organizational knowledge. It's built on plain markdown files and YAML frontmatter. Google says OKF addresses a major problem: the lack of a common format for the information AI agents need to work. Right now, knowledge within organizations is often scattered across many different systems, like wikis and shared drives. This fragmentation forces every AI agent builder to solve the same context problem from scratch. OKF v0.1 is designed to be a simple, format-level solution. It's not a new service or platform. An OKF bundle is a directory of markdown files, with each file representing a concept. Each concept file has YAML frontmatter and a standard markdown body. The bottom line: this could make it much easier for AI agents to access and understand internal company information.
