GPT-Live: OpenAI's new voice model for ChatGPT Voice

OpenAI has introduced a new voice model called GPT-Live, which allows ChatGPT to speak and listen at the same time. This new capability is rolling out globally immediately for ChatGPT Voice. What's interesting is that OpenAI says speaking with AI will now feel much more like a real conversation. The company is launching two new voice models, GPT-Live-1 and GPT-Live-1 mini, that can listen and talk simultaneously in real-time. The updated ChatGPT offers improved answers, more natural conversations, and enhanced listening skills. You can interrupt, stop, or ask for slower replies, making conversations more fluid. It even uses conversational affirmations like "mhmm" or "got it." Users can also choose from nine different voices. The platform now identifies and concentrates on the user's voice even in loud surroundings. Additionally, rich visual cards for topics like weather and sports are implemented to provide visual responses. This matters because it aims to make human-AI conversations significantly more natural and useful for everyday interactions.
