Gusto Cofounder: AI Agent Proactively Manages Payroll & HR

Gusto has launched new software called Gusto Cofounder. This AI agent can proactively manage payroll, HR, and benefits for small businesses. Eddie Kim, co-founder and CTO of Gusto, says this tool is not just an AI assistant or a search engine. Instead, it's designed to proactively help businesses grow. Kim was inspired by his parents, who ran a mom-and-pop shop, with his mother handling many back-office tasks. Gusto Cofounder allows users to interact via text messaging or Slack. It has access to an organization's data already within Gusto, covering areas like health insurance, workers' compensation, and HR. The software uses a robust consent framework, requiring explicit permission from human users to perform actions and securely move billions of dollars daily. This innovation could significantly streamline operations for small businesses.
