IBM Integrates OpenAI Cyber AI for Enhanced Security

IBM is integrating OpenAI's cyber artificial intelligence into its security services. The company has joined the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program and launched a new application security service. This service uses OpenAI's cyber capabilities for enterprise code review and vulnerability validation. The offering is delivered through IBM Consulting Advantage. It operates inside client environments with read-only access to repositories and bounded execution. Project Lightwell, backed by a five-billion-dollar commitment from IBM and Red Hat, will utilize OpenAI's cyber capabilities along with other frontier models for code review and remediation. Mark Hughes, Global Managing Partner for Cybersecurity Services at IBM Consulting, states that the Daybreak program expands IBM's access to advanced AI to identify risks faster. This partnership aims to reduce the integration burden for enterprise security teams applying large models to codebases.
