ICE Secures NYSE with AI: Project Glasswing Cybersecurity

Intercontinental Exchange, or ICE, has joined Project Glasswing, Anthropic’s cybersecurity initiative. ICE will use Anthropic’s Claude Mythos Preview to find and fix vulnerabilities across its operations, including the New York Stock Exchange. What's interesting is that ICE is among a select group of organizations using advanced AI tools to secure critical financial and technology systems. Steve Pugh, ICE’s chief information security officer, says the AI models are not creating new exploits. Instead, they are rapidly identifying existing vulnerabilities that humans might have missed. The key difference is the speed at which AI can scan systems and determine if something is a defect or a vulnerability. This remarkable speed helps ICE make its products and customer data as safe as possible. This initiative shows how AI is being leveraged to protect essential financial infrastructure.
