Indonesia's AI Warfare Doctrine: Nusantara Trident Shield

Indonesia has unveiled 'Nusantara Trident Shield,' its first new military doctrine for the AI warfare era. This updated doctrine reflects a significant shift toward drones, AI-enabled warfare, electronic attacks, and integrated information operations. Indonesia's Armed Forces, known as TNI, officially endorsed this new framework. TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto stated that global conflicts show profound changes in warfare, making adaptation essential for Indonesia's military. He highlighted that modern battlefields now combine long-range missile strikes, kamikaze drones, drone swarms, electronic warfare, and coordinated information warfare. What's interesting is that this new doctrine is an enhancement of the long-standing Tri Dharma Eka Karma, or Tridek doctrine, not a replacement. It adjusts to the dynamics of the strategic environment, emerging threats, and advances in science and technology. This matters because it shows Indonesia is proactively preparing its defense for future conflicts.
