Infoblox IQ: Agentic AI for Network & Security Ops

Infoblox has launched Infoblox IQ, an agentic operations layer built on network, security, and asset data. This new platform continuously analyzes DNS queries, DHCP leases, IP address assignments, device activity, and security events. Here's the thing: Infoblox IQ helps teams identify issues faster, automate investigations, and take action. It includes an agentic AI assistant and agentic AI actions, allowing users to understand network and security conditions through a natural language interface. This means investigating issues, getting recommendations, and executing configuration changes without navigating multiple consoles. What's interesting is the introduction of a Model Context Protocol server. This makes Infoblox intelligence available to third-party AI assistants and applications through a standard interface. This simplifies integration for other AI systems. The intelligence behind Infoblox IQ comes from over 25 years of experience managing critical DNS, DHCP, and IP address management environments. In one deployment, Infoblox IQ reduced over 504,000 operational events to just 24 prioritized actions. Investigations that once took 45 to 90 minutes were surfaced immediately. The bottom line: This new platform aims to reduce alert fatigue for security teams and proactively identify performance issues for network teams, providing a critical data foundation for organizations pursuing autonomous IT operations.
