Interactive Brokers: AI Trading Tools Integrate ChatGPT & Grok

Interactive Brokers has expanded its AI trading tools, now integrating ChatGPT and Grok alongside its existing Claude support. This means AI instruction support now includes options, futures, and futures options, in addition to stocks and ETFs. Customers can access these AI tools directly through their existing IBKR accounts, with no new account or shared passwords required, and at no extra cost. Users can query holdings, retrieve market information, and generate trading instructions using natural language. What's interesting is that the system will generate commands based on conversational strategy descriptions. For example, investors can ask the AI to find option strategies to protect gains or generate buy orders for futures contracts. The bottom line is that while AI moves closer to order execution, all AI-generated instructions must be reviewed and explicitly approved by the customer before being submitted to the market. This ensures the client retains final decision-making authority.
