Keyfactor Acquires Cofide: AI Agent Identity Expansion

Keyfactor plans to acquire Cofide, a British startup, to expand its capabilities into software workloads and artificial intelligence agents. This deal will allow Keyfactor to offer identity management for these emerging workloads. Keyfactor CEO Jordan Rackie states that Cofide extends their platform to support the next frontier of workload and agentic AI identity. Cofide, founded in 2024, employs six people. Its technology offers dynamic certificate-based identities. Rackie believes this acquisition positions Keyfactor for a larger market as AI identity security becomes a mainstream requirement. This move addresses a need for secure identity management for autonomous AI systems, which often use static credentials that pose security risks. This creates a significant opportunity for Keyfactor to enhance its offerings.
