Krafton's Raon-Speech: Top Korean AI Model Open-Sourced

Krafton has released its speech artificial intelligence foundation model, A.X K2 Raon-Speech, as open source. This model is now available on the global AI platform Hugging Face. Here's the thing: Krafton says it shows industry-leading Korean-language performance. The 21-billion-parameter model ranked first in overall Korean-language performance among publicly available speech language models with fewer than 30 billion parameters. It also ranked third in English. Krafton built this model on SK Telecom’s A.X K2 small language model, combining it with Krafton’s own speech encoder and codec technologies. The company is also part of the South Korean government’s sovereign AI foundation model initiative. This release signals Krafton’s ongoing investment in AI, aiming to create new gameplay experiences.
