Kraken Parent Payward Joins Anthropic AI Security Project

Kraken's parent company, Payward, has joined Anthropic's Project Glasswing. This initiative aims to strengthen security using an AI model called Claude Mitosis 5. Payward plans to implement Mitosis 5 across its entire operating environment in the coming weeks. They will integrate any detected vulnerabilities into their current security programs. What's more, flaws found in open-source software will be shared with the project maintainers. Anthropic is expanding access to Mitosis 5 beyond the U.S. government, now including the technology and financial sectors. Companies like Amazon Web Services, Apple, Google, Microsoft, and JPMorgan Chase are already participating. Payward's Co-Chief Executive Officer, Arjun Sethi, stated that cutting-edge AI could help reverse the asymmetry in security, where attackers only need one gap, but defenders must find every gap. This matters because crypto exchanges and payment systems are constant targets for hackers, and enhanced AI security could offer better protection.
