Lianlian DigiTech & UnionPay: AI Payments for Global Procurement

This collaboration combines Lianlian DigiTech's AI-agent platform with UnionPay International's global payment network. Their initial focus is on global procurement and AI Token replenishment. This includes AI-assisted procurement workflows directly connected to cross-border payment infrastructure. The partnership will also expand overseas merchant acceptance and involve joint AI technology research and development. The first application is a Human-in-the-Loop AI-agent payment solution for global procurement. This aims to solve challenges in cross-border B2B payments, like long settlement times and compliance demands. AI agents will handle tasks from supplier matching to payment execution, with users retaining final approval. This initiative matters because it could make international business transactions more efficient and intelligent.
