This is important because autonomous agents can create new security risks, potentially leading to breaches. Companies like Cisco, Cloudflare, and Salesforce are backing this initiative. The system links an AI agent's identity directly to the Domain Name System, allowing users to verify its permissions and operational history. This helps protect against malicious commands and injections. The framework also integrates with existing identity systems, using legal entity identifiers and decentralized identifiers. This matters because 82% of executives plan to adopt AI agents soon, and this new framework offers a way to manage the associated risks.
