Lovable Acquires Nalvin Team to Boost AI Growth

Swedish vibe coding startup Lovable has acquired the team behind AI agent startup Nalvin. This move aims to boost Lovable's growth by bringing in skilled founders from other startups. Nalvin, based in Stockholm, created an AI agent platform that automates repetitive business tasks. Its founders, Pontus Gifvas, Fredrik Stockman, and Pascal Chatterjee, will now join Lovable. Lovable CEO Anton Osika expressed excitement about these founders coming on board, highlighting their valuable intuition and standards. Nalvin's team stated they can now tackle the same problem of putting AI to work for businesses, but on a much larger scale. While financial details weren't disclosed, this seems like an acqui-hire, focused on acquiring talent. Nalvin, founded in 2023, previously secured 1.5 million euros in pre-seed funding in 2024. Lovable, currently valued at $6.6 billion, is reportedly seeking to raise $300 million, which would double its valuation to $13.2 billion. This acquisition follows Lovable's previous purchase of cloud infrastructure provider Molnett last November, as it actively seeks more teams and startups to join its mission. This news shows how established tech companies are strategically acquiring talent to expand their capabilities.
