macOS 27 Beta: Trippy Siri Voice Pad & 13 New Voices

Apple appears to be developing an immersive new interface for choosing Siri AI's voice in macOS 27 Golden Gate. This "voice pad" was found in the latest beta by a forum member. The interface replaces the standard System Settings menu. It features a nearly black canvas where the selected voice is marked by a colored dot. As you move your pointer, colors transition, more dots appear, and the voice modulates. What's interesting is how the visuals respond to cursor movement via spatial audio. Voices closer to the pointer sound clearer, while those further away become distant. A spatial mixer adjusts volume, reverb, and filtering. The pad shows 13 voice slots, suggesting Apple may support up to 13 custom Siri AI voices. These could range from a soft-spoken young female voice to a deep adult male voice and two older-sounding voices. This new interface would be a significant change from current options. It is already localized for 44 languages and shares a framework with iOS 27, meaning it could come to iPhone and iPad. The new, more advanced Siri AI will arrive with the release of iOS 27, macOS 27, and other software updates this September.
