MatterChat AI: Bridging Language & Physics for Materials

A new AI framework called MatterChat is now bridging the gap between language models and physics-based AI. This innovation comes from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. MatterChat connects the conversational abilities of a Large Language Model with an AI that understands the physical forces between atoms. This allows AI to "see" and interpret the intricate, three-dimensional data of the physical world, like the structure of a crystal.
