Mavenir & Red Hat Launch AI Platform for Telcos

Mavenir has launched an Integrated AI Platform, developed with Red Hat, to help network operators monetize AI. This platform allows operators to offer AI services using token-based consumption plans, billed directly on phone bills. Operators will have full control over pricing, service-level agreements, and the AI models used. The platform works in three ways: for operator-branded AI services, as an AI infrastructure layer for operator AI grid deployments, and as a managed AI platform for enterprise customers. The system uses Red Hat AI on Kubernetes infrastructure, powered by Red Hat OpenShift. This gives operators a flexible architecture, allowing them to use on-premises models and custom-built small language models. It also allows selective connection to frontier models for complex tasks. Operators decide which model handles each request, who pays, and how it's billed. This new platform creates a new monetization layer on top of existing connectivity. It helps operators capture revenue from the growing global AI services market. This matters because it enables telecommunication companies to become significant AI service providers.
