Meta AI Image Gen: Instagram & WhatsApp Get New Tools

Meta has launched its first advanced AI image generation tools for Instagram and WhatsApp. This new feature, called Muse Image, was built by Meta Superintelligence Labs. It will be part of Meta AI chatbot, letting users create and edit images with prompts and sketches. Instagram and WhatsApp together have over 3 billion users globally. Muse Image will initially be available in select countries. Meta states that Muse Image acts as a creative partner, making it easy to turn ideas into high-quality visuals. Users can then download and share these directly to their feed, story, or chat. You can describe what you want in simple language, and Meta AI handles the rest. A broader rollout is expected in the coming weeks, with plans to launch it for Facebook and Messenger as well. This feature aims to give people new, creative ways to connect and share within the apps. Muse Image also powers over 30 new AI effects on Instagram Stories and image generation in WhatsApp chats with Meta AI. This development brings Meta closer to its goal of "personal superintelligence."
