Meta Muse Code: New AI Coding Agent Rivals Claude & Codex

Meta has unveiled Muse Code, a new AI coding agent designed to compete with existing tools like Anthropic’s Claude Code and OpenAI’s Codex. This tool operates in the terminal and can independently plan and write code for large software projects. It's currently available in beta for macOS and Linux users. Muse Code is powered by Meta's new Muse Spark 1.2 model, which was released at the same time. This model is specially trained for long coding sessions and can also be accessed via the Meta Model API. Installation is simple, requiring just one terminal command. While pricing details are not yet available, Meta suggests it will be a more affordable option. This development could change how developers approach complex coding tasks.
