Microsoft Scout: AI Assistant Redefines Work Productivity

Microsoft has introduced Scout, an AI assistant that works continuously across Microsoft 365 applications. This new AI agent operates without needing constant prompts, learning user habits over time through a system called Work IQ. Scout connects across Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint. It runs on OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent framework. Microsoft is calling Scout an "Autopilot," a new category of AI agents designed to act on a user's behalf with their own identity. Currently, Microsoft offers Scout to select "Frontier" enterprise customers, with built-in security controls and full audit trails. This development could change how we interact with our work software, making digital tools more proactive.
