Microsoft's MAI-Cyber-1-Flash: New AI Boosts Cybersecurity

Microsoft has unveiled MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first specialized cybersecurity AI model. This new AI is part of a multi-model approach to managing software vulnerabilities within MDASH. What's interesting is that MDASH, with MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, scores 96% on the CyberGym benchmark. This is 12 points higher than Mythos. This same setup also delivers almost 50% cost savings compared to the current MDASH system. The company says this is due to a tuned multi-model system with access to rich historical training data. This new model is part of Project Perception, a broader defense system entering public preview on August 3 for customers globally.
