Midjourney Underwater Body Scanner: Fast 3D Medical Scans

Midjourney, known for AI-generated images, has unveiled a new underwater body scanner. This medical machine, called the Midjourney Scanner, can scan your entire body in under 60 seconds. Here's how it works: you step onto a platform and are slowly submerged in water. As you descend, half a million tiny elements fire ultrasonic waves at you from every angle, recording what bounces back. Midjourney describes it like being surrounded by many tiny dolphins using echolocation. The result is a detailed 3D map of your body, accurate to a fraction of a millimeter. This process is nearly a hundred times faster than a full-body MRI, which can take up to 90 minutes. The scanner will also use custom silicon for better image quality. Midjourney is collaborating with Butterfly Network on this project. The first scanner is planned for a spa in San Francisco, with expansion to other cities by 2028 and 50,000 scanners worldwide by 2031, following FDA approval. This could significantly change how quickly and easily detailed body scans are performed.
