Mythos 5 AI Re-Release: US Gov't Lifts Restrictions

Two weeks ago, Lutnick had suspended access to Mythos 5 and its consumer model, Fable 5, citing national security threats. This happened hours after OpenAI announced a phased release of its latest GPT-5.6 models at the federal government's request. Anthropic is continuing discussions with officials to restore access to Fable 5. This matters because it shows ongoing government oversight and collaboration in managing powerful AI technologies.
