N2N Services Launches Helios: AI for Higher Ed

N2N Services has launched Helios, a new AI agent platform designed specifically for higher education. This platform is the successor to their decade-old Illuminate platform. Helios allows institutions to build, govern, and deploy their own AI agents using their existing systems and data. N2N Services states that Helios is the first AI agent-builder platform built for higher education. It takes the fast, secure, and turnkey API publishing of Illuminate and integrates each API into a governed and auditable step within an AI agent pipeline. Illuminate, which at its peak ran over 500 live APIs across 400 institutions and served more than 3 million transactions daily, will be retired. Helios maintains the turnkey API-publishing capability while adding an AI agent layer. This means every API becomes a step in a deterministic, governed agent pipeline. Helios also connects to various systems like Banner, Workday, and PeopleSoft. This development could significantly change how higher education institutions manage and utilize their data with AI.
