NC AI Wins $34M Korean Agentic AI Mandate with Gabia

South Korea's government has awarded NCSoft's AI subsidiary a 34-million-dollar enterprise AI mandate. This four-year project, running through 2029, aims to develop "Real-World Proactive Action-Type Agentic AI Technology." Here's the thing: NC AI secured this mandate not just for its system, but because its proposal directly addresses a key challenge in enterprise AI projects. The initiative has a total budget of 49.375 billion Korean Won, with 39.5 billion coming from the state. What's interesting is the testbed for this project: Gabia's Hiworks groupware platform. This platform holds the top domestic market position in Korean corporate email and workplace collaboration. It will serve as a live commercial environment to deploy and test the consortium's research. This matters because the project aims to validate AI performance and stability with real users before commercialization, addressing a common hurdle in bringing agentic AI to production.
