nCino Mortgage MCP: AI Agents for Lenders

nCino has launched new functionality called Mortgage MCP, allowing lenders to integrate AI agents directly into their mortgage suite. This update uses Model Context Protocol, an open-source standard, to connect AI agents to external platforms. The goal is to bring AI agents into a customer's work environment while maintaining existing compliance and permission controls. Mortgage MCP aims to eliminate the time mortgage teams lose switching between multiple screens for tasks. It allows an AI agent to perform tasks on a user's behalf within the lender's current governance and permission settings. The offering includes two pre-built tools. Admin MCP targets mortgage system administrators, allowing them to manage tasks like user and role management, or system configuration through natural language conversation. Loan Officer MCP is designed for loan officers, offering a single conversational interface for tasks such as checking loan status or updating borrower records. This reduces time spent switching between systems. The bottom line is this aims to reduce inefficiencies and improve decision-making in the mortgage industry.
