Nepali Students Create AI Assistant Joya

Two students, Kushal Pokharel and Ashal Pokharel, have developed an AI assistant named Joya. They are grade 12 Computer Science students. Joya works as a digital assistant on a laptop or computer. It can play songs, open YouTube, access websites, launch Google Chrome, and provide information on time and weather. The students developed Joya over nearly six months with support from their IT teacher. What's interesting is that Joya was created using Python programming as part of their Computer Science studies. The project was showcased at the First Science and Technology Exhibition. The students plan to make Joya more advanced in the future. This matters because it highlights local innovation and the potential of technology education in rural areas.
