NowSecure AI Testing: Securing AI-Built Mobile Apps

NowSecure is adding AI-native features to its mobile app testing platform. This includes a chat assistant, a Model Context Protocol server, and new detection for vulnerabilities specific to AI-powered mobile apps. Here's the thing: 95% of organizations already use AI in their mobile apps. However, 37% report they cannot fully see what that AI is doing. The new AI Chat allows security teams to ask simple questions about their app portfolio. The answers come from binary analysis and runtime data from real devices. What's interesting is that the company also found that 53% of 50,000 mobile apps tested contain AI components. Many of these components bypass traditional app review processes. These AI components introduce new forms of exposure, making data flows opaque and widening supply-chain risks. NowSecure Chief Executive Alan Snyder states that AI is "reshaping both mobile development speed and app risk." He says risk management must keep pace. The bottom line is these updates aim to automate testing while maintaining the visibility teams need for sound risk decisions.
