Nubia NaviX Ultra: World's 1st AI Agent Phone Unveiled

Nubia has announced the NaviX Ultra, which it calls the world's first smartphone with an AI agent integrated at the operating system level. This phone runs ByteDance's Doubao assistant, capable of handling multi-step tasks across different applications. The NaviX Ultra features a horizontal camera bar with a triple-camera system and a flat display with a centered punch-hole camera. It includes a dedicated orange button for instant access to the Doubao assistant and comes in four colors. Nubia states that key AI processing happens on-device, but its core reasoning still relies on cloud servers. However, there are some significant caveats. Other companies have already shown competing AI agent phones. A major challenge is the ecosystem problem, as some apps previously blocked Doubao's cross-app automation due to data concerns. There is no confirmation yet on whether the NaviX Ultra resolves these issues. The M153, a prototype, sold out its initial batch of 30,000 units in December 2025 at 3,499 yuan. The NaviX Ultra is described as its production-ready successor. For international buyers, availability is a concern, as the M153 was sold only in China, and no global rollout has been confirmed for the NaviX Ultra. Hardware specifications have not yet been disclosed. This news highlights the ongoing race to integrate advanced AI into smartphones, with both innovation and challenges ahead.
