NZSIS: AI Exaggerates Threats to NZ Security

However, the report indicates New Zealand is moving up within this band due to a deteriorating global environment. What's interesting is how GenAI is being used. It can identify and radicalize vulnerable individuals, create tailored propaganda in multiple languages, and even assist in developing weapons. For example, people have used GenAI to learn how to make improvised explosive devices or 3D weapons.
