OpenAI ChatGPT Mac App Update: Easier Chat & Projects

OpenAI has updated its ChatGPT Mac app to make regular chats easier to find. This comes after users criticized a recent redesign. The company has now restored clearer access to Chat, Work, Codex, conversation history, and Projects within the main window. Last week, OpenAI replaced its native Mac client with a larger Electron-based app, combining ChatGPT, Codex, and a new Work agent. This left many users confused, especially with the older version renamed ChatGPT Classic. The redesigned interface initially made standard ChatGPT harder to access, which was a main complaint. Now, a visible toggle at the top of the window lets users switch between Chat and Work. A new sidebar menu also allows selection between regular ChatGPT and Codex.
