OpenAI GPT-5.5 & Codex on Amazon Bedrock for Enterprises

OpenAI's latest models, GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.4, along with the AI coding agent Codex, are now generally available on Amazon Bedrock. This means enterprises can access these advanced AI capabilities through their existing cloud infrastructure. This availability follows an expanded partnership between Amazon Web Services and OpenAI. Pragya Misra of OpenAI India confirmed that models like GPT-5.5, GPT-5.4, and Codex are now live on Amazon Bedrock. Jasjeet Singh from AWS India emphasized that customers can now use top AI models within trusted infrastructure. GPT-5.5 is described as the most advanced OpenAI model on Bedrock, designed for complex tasks like software development and data analysis. Both GPT-5.5 and GPT-5.4 are available at the same per-token pricing as offered directly by OpenAI. A key highlight is Codex, OpenAI's AI-powered software development agent. Over five million users employ Codex weekly for coding tasks. Through Bedrock, enterprises can access Codex with pay-per-token pricing, instead of traditional seat-based licensing. This matters because it gives businesses access to powerful AI tools while maintaining their security and compliance standards.
