Palo Alto Networks Buys Console for $500M: AI Security Boost

Palo Alto Networks has acquired Console for a reported $500 million. This deal aims to expand Palo Alto Networks' AI security automation. What's interesting is that Console is a startup founded in 2024 that uses AI agents to automate routine IT support tasks. The acquisition price of $500 million was paid in a mix of cash and shares. Console had previously raised $29 million across two funding rounds and was valued at $157 million before this sale. Palo Alto Networks plans to integrate Console's technology into its Cortex platform. This will allow security teams to investigate incidents and respond to alerts using natural language, giving Cortex "hands and feet" for autonomous protection.
