Perplexity AI Agent on Windows: Enhanced Productivity

Perplexity has released a Windows version of its Personal Computer AI agent. This expands its software beyond Macintosh to over one billion Windows devices. The Personal Computer acts as a digital worker. It can access authorized files and applications on a user’s computer. Users can ask it to create or edit documents, update spreadsheets, organize files, and conduct online research. What's interesting is it combines local files and applications with information from Microsoft 365 and websites. This allows users to manage work through one conversational interface. Perplexity states company data will not be used to train its AI models. The system also asks for approval before sensitive actions. The Windows edition is rolling out to subscribers of Perplexity's Max and Enterprise Max plans, which start at $200 per month. This move strengthens Perplexity's strategy to become an enterprise productivity platform.
