Prosus: 60,000 AI Agents Deployed, 2% Drive Impact

Prosus, a major AI builder, has deployed over 60,000 AI agents across its companies in the last eighteen months. This experience forms the basis of their new report, "The Coming Age of AI Colleagues." Here's the thing: their research shows that only about two percent of these AI agents drive the majority of business impact. What's interesting is that companies consistently built the same 20 use cases, regardless of industry or location. These 20 AI agents offer a strong, immediate return on investment. The report also finds that AI agent complexity mirrors human seniority levels, with senior-level agents having the largest user base. Data analytics and personal AI assistants are the dominant tasks, claiming the largest share at 18%, followed by operations at 15%.
