Saber Interactive: AI for "Infinite" Game Dialog, Not Writers

Saber Interactive denies claims that it replaced a writer with ChatGPT on its new driving game, "Rideshare Stimulator." The company states no writers were replaced with AI for this game or any other. However, Saber Interactive confirms it will use AI for dialogue in an experimental, free-ride mode within the game. This is because the number of passengers in the game is "infinite." Former lead writer Stella Sacco stated on social media that she was replaced on the project by ChatGPT. She also claimed all passenger voices were AI. Her LinkedIn shows she was a lead writer at Saber from July 2023 to July 2024. Saber says its staff of writers has tripled since 2023 and the game's story was written entirely by real people. The game's Steam page currently has no AI disclosure. This situation highlights ongoing discussions about AI use in creative industries.
