Salesforce Buys Fin for $3.6B: Boosts AI Agentforce

Salesforce is acquiring AI agent company Fin for approximately $3.6 billion. This move aims to expand Salesforce’s Agentforce platform, which already generated $1.2 billion in annual recurring revenue in the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Fin's technology uses a proprietary AI model called Apex to resolve customer queries across channels like WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack, achieving an average resolution rate of 76%. Salesforce Chair and CEO Marc Benioff stated they are thrilled to welcome Fin as they enable every company to become an agentic enterprise. Fin currently serves over 30,000 companies, offering automated support for complex customer service issues. The integration is designed to provide faster deployment options for AI agents with minimal customization for small and medium-sized businesses. Following this announcement, Salesforce's share price was down at $248.50. This acquisition is expected to enhance Salesforce’s ability to deliver scalable AI solutions for service organizations.
