Salesforce Slack Code: Collaborative AI Dev for Teams

Salesforce has launched Slack Code, a new feature for collaborative AI software development. This allows software development teams to work with AI coding agents directly inside shared Slack channels. What's interesting is that Slack Code supports various AI coding agents, including Anthropic’s Claude Code, Cognition’s Devin, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and Vercel agents. Users will need to get access to these partner AI services separately. The feature introduces dedicated "code channels" where developers and other team members can interact with AI agents. These channels keep conversations, development plans, code changes, and software previews all in one workspace. Each channel has separate tabs for discussions, the AI agent's proposed plan, code differences, and a live preview of the output. This allows teams to inspect and intervene in an agent's work as it happens.
