Siemens & Nvidia AI: Self-Verifying Chip Design

Siemens and Nvidia are expanding their partnership to bring self-verifying AI to chip and circuit board design. This new technology helps engineering teams achieve more reliable and continuously validated results. The updates to Siemens' Fuse EDA AI Agent system integrate new Nvidia AI technology. This allows AI agents to reason, act, and validate decisions against physics-based engineering tools. This goes beyond simple automation, aiming for improved quality, faster results, and better tool reliability. The system is now part of Siemens' Intelligence Center X, which supports AI-driven processes across design, manufacturing, and supply chain. Nvidia's Timothy Costa notes this connects engineering intent with real-world performance, using feedback to improve both products and processes. Siemens has invested in digital twins and physical AI, and their tools are seeing 10 to 15 times speedups thanks to GPU integration, with Solido Spice, for example, becoming 10 times faster. This collaboration aims to create trusted, self-verifying AI workflows for complex semiconductor design tasks. This matters because it could lead to faster development and more reliable electronic devices.
