Singapore's Agentic AI Adoption Doubles, Maturity Grows

The adoption of agentic AI tools in Singapore has more than doubled. A new report finds that 51% of organizations in the city-state have now deployed agentic AI, up from 22% in 2025. What's interesting is that despite this increase, full autonomy remains out of reach. Agentic AI tools are designed to take actions without human input. However, only 10% of Singapore employers have redesigned processes for AI to complete multi-step business tasks end-to-end. A third of employers are using this technology to assist with day-to-day tasks. Another 18% have made no progress on advanced AI adoption at all. This means many employers are staying at the "shallowest stage" of AI adoption. Singapore's AI maturity score has rebounded to 53 points, above the global average of 51. This is a 19-point increase from 2025. The country is ahead on the structural foundations of AI, with more enterprises replacing legacy systems and implementing formal processes for AI risk management. Investment in AI budgets in Singapore is up 108% year-on-year, with 15.4% of IT budgets now allocated to AI. This is projected to reach 20% by 2027. The challenge lies in integrating AI into daily operations, which is where returns compound the most. This matters because a focus on tools over workflow redesign could widen the AI maturity gap.
