Siri AI Blocked in EU: 450M Users Miss iOS 27 Features

Apple's new Siri AI will not be available on iPhones or iPads in the EU when iOS 27 launches this autumn. This affects approximately 450 million users. The exclusion is due to a regulatory issue with the European Commission concerning the Digital Markets Act. Apple stated it could not resolve the deadlock despite months of negotiation. The restriction also extends to Apple Watch owners in the EU, as Siri AI on watchOS 27 depends on a paired iPhone with the full AI model. However, Siri AI will launch on macOS 27 and visionOS 27 in EU member states. The bottom line is that EU iPhone and iPad users will not experience these significant AI advancements, creating a potential divergence in app experiences and device capabilities.
