SKT AI Data Center Certified: Public & Finance Ready

SK Telecom has received government security certification for its artificial intelligence data center infrastructure. This certification, called CSAP, was issued by the Korea Internet & Security Agency. It means SK Telecom can now enter the AI business in the public and financial sectors. The certified infrastructure is called the 'Haein' cluster. This cluster uses over 1,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs. SK Telecom is the first AI cloud operator in Korea using Blackwell GPUs to get this certification. The Haein cluster met security standards for public clouds, including network and data isolation. What's interesting is that the certification applies to a Haein cluster already in use for government-sponsored AI projects. This development allows SK Telecom to speed up its entry into the Sovereign AI cloud market. This matters because it establishes a secure foundation for advanced AI services in critical sectors.
