Snyk: Agentic AI Stacks Triple Model Footprint in Enterprises

Agentic AI architectures are now present in 33 percent of over 3,000 enterprise accounts examined by Snyk. What's interesting is that the components around AI models make the detected AI footprint about three times larger than the models themselves. These findings come from Snyk's 2026 State of Agentic AI Adoption: Volume II. The report looks at how companies are putting together models, agents, and other supporting systems. It shows that organizations using agentic systems are increasingly deploying both agent frameworks and the infrastructure that connects them to external tools and data. The report is based on anonymized data from 3,044 enterprise accounts and approximately 1.39 million code repositories. This indicates a shift where the "governance unit is no longer the model response," but rather the operational behavior of the entire system. This matters because it highlights the growing complexity and reach of AI in business operations.
