Solana AI Agents: Measurable Economic Output Achieved

Solana's AI agent activity moved beyond just experimentation in the first quarter of 2026. This is according to a new report from Messari. What's interesting is that application-layer activity intensified, with examples like the game PlayBabylon, which saw 490,000 trades from over a thousand AI agents in just five days. StormRae AI also hosted a public exercise with around 15,000 participants on the network. The Anagram team released a tool called SolanaClaw Agent for handling transactions through messaging apps. The network also added support for Stripe’s Machine Payments Protocol and is now compatible with both MPP and the x402 standard, an open protocol for AI agent payments. An onchain Agent Registry was also introduced to help AI agents establish verifiable identity. The bottom line is that these developments show AI agent activity on Solana is now creating measurable economic output, with early metrics pointing towards what’s being called "Agentic GDP."
