Sonos 27: AI & ChatGPT Integration for Smart Audio

Sonos has launched Sonos 27, its new audio operating system, bringing AI features and ChatGPT integration to its devices. This new platform includes a redesigned app, AI-powered controls, and custom AI agents. Here's the thing: Sonos 27 introduces Sonos 27voice, a proprietary voice assistant for music discovery and playlist creation. What's interesting is the new Sonos 27mcp feature, which allows external AI assistants like ChatGPT to control your Sonos system, letting you ask the AI chatbot to play music in specific rooms. Users will also be able to create personalized AI agents with Sonos Custom Agents. Another key addition is Sonos Fabric, which helps devices detect each other and adapt to their surroundings. This enables features like headphone linking, connecting the Sonos Ace Ultra directly with a Sonos system to move audio between speakers and headphones. Sonos Positioning Technology will also adjust a speaker's role based on its location. The company is also bringing the Sonos Beam Ultra and Sonos Ace Ultra to India. Plus, the Sonos Play Ultra portable speaker will be available in India from September 8, offering up to 24 hours of battery life and an IP67 rating. The bottom line is Sonos aims to make its audio ecosystem feel more like an intelligent, interconnected system.
