Sonos 27: AI, ChatGPT, & Redesigned App Unveiled

Sonos has announced Sonos 27, a new direction for its audio ecosystem. This update brings AI controls, a redesigned app, and new ways for speakers, headphones, and soundbars to work together. Sonos 27 includes ChatGPT integration and a new AI voice assistant called 27voice. The company is also bringing Sonos Play to India on September 8th, priced at ₹31,999, which includes a charging base. A key feature is Portable Surrounds, allowing compatible portable speakers like Sonos Play to be used as rear speakers for a home theatre setup. This means a portable speaker can move around and take on a surround role when needed. New hardware, the Beam Ultra and Ace Ultra, will launch globally on September 29th. The redesigned Sonos app offers updated navigation and controls. This matters because it changes how users interact with and utilize their entire Sonos speaker network.
